                        API keys

                        A key lets Shortcuts, Claude or another tool use your account. Each key is shown once.

                        Store it somewhere safe. It won't be shown again.

                        AI agents such as Instinct or Claude connect to this address and sign in themselves: you approve them on a Fastnotez page. Tools that cannot sign in take a key, sent as a Bearer token.

                        Outgoing webhooks

                        When an item changes, Fastnotez sends a signed JSON event to your address. By default only items with an external reference are sent, which is what an ERP needs.

                        ERP report

                        The morning report posts by itself at 07:00 when the cron secret is set in Vercel. This posts today's now, into the space's #admin channel if it exists, otherwise #general.

                        AI model

                        Two slots. Text answers questions, edits notes and extracts tasks. Images reads screenshots. Prices are per million tokens on your OpenRouter credit; free models cost nothing but are slower and sometimes at capacity.

                        Every table, gzipped, kept 14 days in the private file store; runs daily at 03:30 UTC. Per-account limits (owner exempt):

                        Moving house: set OTHER_DATABASE_URL in Vercel to the new database and redeploy; then freeze writes, copy, compare. Point FASTNOTEZ_DATABASE_URL at the new database (it wins over DATABASE_URL) and OTHER_DATABASE_URL at the old one, deploy, compare again, unfreeze. While frozen, people see a notice and their changes wait on their devices.

                        iPhone Shortcuts (advanced)

                        Recipes for the Shortcuts app, with the action names as they appear on an iPhone set to English. Make an API key in Settings, Connections, and use it where it says <key>.

                        Clip to Fastnotez · then Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap → this shortcut, or assign it to the Action button. Copy anywhere, double-tap the back of the phone, done.
